Olympic figure skaters Maia and Alex Shibutani (holding awards) were among the evening’s honorees at the 2024 Asian Hall of Fame gala Oct. 19 in Downtown Los Angeles. They were introduced by Deputy Consul General of Japan Naoshige Aoshima, at left.
The Asian Hall of Fame, celebrating its 20th anniversary, inducted its Class of 2024 on Oct. 19 live from The Biltmore Los Angeles and streaming on Roku GAME.
The multi-city induction elevated Asian and Indigenous women, advanced trauma advocacy, and inspired the next generation of leaders.
Media partner KTLA 5, official hotel partner Millennium & Copthorne, and over 200 signed memorabilia, couture gifts, and trunk show benefited Asian Hall of Fame’s $8 million Asian & Native Women Impact Fund and capital campaign for a new center opening in 2026.
Master of ceremonies was KTLA 5 News anchor Frank Buckley. Musical guests were Hiro Yamamoto (Soundgarden), Ed Roth (Annie Lennox), Maki Mae (“America’s Got Talent”), and Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja (“American Idol”).
