Free play readings of an abridged version of “Question 27,young school sex video Question 28” by Chay Yew, directed by Alberto Isaac, will be presented at the following locations:

Thursday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. at Robert Louis Stevenson Library, 803 Spence St., Los Angeles. Street parking.

What happened to the women of the Japanese American incarceration? How did these brave women keep hope in the American dream alive? Based on transcripts, documents, personal testimonies, and interviews, Yew’s play is both heart-wrenching and inspiring, weaving stories of the struggles, resilience and courage of Japanese American female detainees held in the camps during World War II.
Artists at Play presents this free reading in partnership with Center Theatre Group’s The Shop, a program that provides Boyle Heights community residents with opportunities to make theater a part of everyday life.
