On Tuesday, the Bank of England unveiled the image of King Charles III that will replace the image of Queen Elizabeth II on new notes going forwards.
Credit: Bank of England Per the Bank of England's announcement, existing notes featuring the Queen will still be fine to use, and new notes featuring King Charles III will only replace notes that are damaged.
The new notes are expected to be in circulation by the middle of 2024.
