During the team's press availability on Wednesday, Rapinoe didn't hold back when asked about the stellar tea-sipping goal celebration from teammate Alex Morgan.

Rapinoe's response definitely had a little bit of spice to it after some in the English press accused the U.S. squad of being "too arrogant" in the days leading up to the big match.

Is it really arrogance when you're the defending World Cup champs and you're 6-0 in the current World Cup, heading to the final, and you've outscored your opponents by a total of 24-3?

She's currently one of President Trump's Twitter targets because of her anthem protests and refusal to accept a possible invitation to the White House. All of this makes her thoughtful answer about how she feels to be an American even more poignant.
