The first batch of 42 beagles arrived at Bengaluru's Hotel for Dogs a few days ago, and will be their home until they are adopted. The two organisations plan to hold regular adoption camps to screen potential adopters for the four batches. The dogs have already got an overwhelming response, with over 1,000 online applications from all over India.

They were also identified by numbers rather than names, and lack toilet training and many basic instincts. As a result, they need a lot of patience to learn how to trust people.
