Bad News Eagles recovered from a slow start to the day with an upset victory over G2.
The pof video sexKosovar team now finds themselves 1-1 heading into the second day of play at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Stage. The team got off to a slow start against ENCE, but then came back from a 5-10 deficit on Ancient against G2 to avoid entering the elimination zone early.

Following the match, Rigon "?rigoN?" Gashi and Flatron "?juanflatroo?" Halimi briefly spoke to HLTV.org about the Ancient comeback, the previous ENCE loss, playing against Apeks in the 1-1 pool, and their goals for the rest of the Major.
Tell me about that Ancient win from 5-10.
rigoN: We started the CT half the same like versus ENCE, we lost this forcebuy and stuff like this, but we believed, SENER opened a way, and we believed after this.
That 1v3 was what started everything off, right?
juanflatroo: Yeah, it was sick, it was sick. It was definitely a game-changing clutch, so he did a big part to grab this one.
Right when you got towards the end, Devilwalk took a timeout when I think you were at match point. What did he say then?
rigoN: You know what he says? He says 'guys, you are so fucking good, man, I don't have to do anything, just keep going.' Just this calm Swedish voice, now he's doing really good stuff and he's taking the pauses in the right way.
You had a really good game, rigoN, how did you feel during the game?
rigoN: I mean, I sucked versus ENCE on CT side, to be honest, and I just said to myself 'I cannot think too much about my gameplay,' you know? It worked out against G2.
Walk me through that ENCE loss a bit, not the start you wanted for the Major, I'm sure.
juanflatroo: Yeah, definitely (laughs). But we are kinda used to having slow starts. Once we get into that momentum, we start playing much better and we start playing our own game, so yeah.

How did you bounce back into this G2 game? What did you do in between the two games?
rigoN: We had the same situation in the RMR where we lost against 1WIN, and we just came together, and we just said 'let's have fun, let's play together, and just enjoy the moment at the last CS:GO Major.'
You came in here from a second place finish in Melbourne after you lost to Movistar Riders. What was the feeling like after that event?
rigoN: Listen, we have a saying in Albanian, when you lose a final or something, god saved it for something better. No, but when we went to Melbourne, we were pretty much jetlagged, we had like a one-week break before. We had like a five-day bootcamp now, we fixed some stuff, and I think after bootcamps we always better.
You are 1-1 one and your next match should be against Apeks, how do you feel about that matchup coming up?
rigoN: We beat them already one time, and we will see tomorrow. But I feel pretty confident playing versus them.
Are you getting back to the Major BNE buff again?
rigoN: Bro, listen, it's our third CS:GO Major... We want to go to this arena.
